Today I am sharing a card I created for this month’s Bring Back Beautiful challenge at Flourishes. This month, the challenge is to try a technique you’ve always wanted to, or use one you always love. I chose to do something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, but always forget to try…
I have seen this done a few times, and when Iwona Palmountain was the Limelight Designer awhile ago, she featured the “Out of the Box” technique and reminded me I want to do it. AND – her tutorial was so perfectly simple and easy to follow. Love that.
When I came back the day after I coloured my image, the night time critters had stained one of the leaves.. seriously, not a *clue* what happened there.
I also combined this technique, which I tried to capture in this photo:

October 19, 2011 1:58 amSo, SO pretty, Meredith!! Love the technique, and your coloring of the peaches is gorgeous!! When I saw that first close up of the peach, I thought the technique you chose was the coloring one…pencils and…something else…can't even remember what the stuff was. But I really like the technique you chose and have never tried it myself. Love it!
